So that more of us can breathe.
Facilitation, mediation, workshops, and keynote speeches with an intersectional and power-critical perspective. And a love for books and horror.

Who I am, how I got here, and why I'm doing this
Hello,
I’m Fabienne. I’m a book nerd, a cat lady, and I work as a freelance facilitator, mediator, and speaker on anti-racism and anti-discrimination in Berlin, Germany, and wherever I’m invited.
After completing my legal training, I initially worked in the field of gender-based violence and quickly realized that my knowledge of power dynamics and intersectionality is invaluable to others—not just in this specific area.
That’s why I now primarily lead workshops, deliver keynote speeches, and facilitate events, panel discussions, and readings.
When I’m not working, I read a lot. I especially love books by authors who face multiple forms of marginalization—and horror in particular. I love horror because I’m convinced that the genre is the perfect medium for reflecting on power dynamics and on who and what our society defines as monsters. I also think a lot about justice(s) and how we can transform our relationships with ourselves and our environment.
In everything I do, I hold myself to the standard of maintaining a critical stance toward power structures and a sensitivity to discrimination. For me, this means not only gaining a deeper understanding of structural power dynamics, but also acting in accordance with that knowledge and taking responsibility.

We will all save each other. Or maybe we won't. Maybe there is no saving, only savaging. Maybe every breath is a triumph, and we must learn to take the win.

Sometimes you read something and a thought that was floating around in your veins organizes itself into the sentence that reflects it.

Speculative Fiction
Myths tell us what those like us have done, can do, should do. Without myths to lead the way, we hesitate to leap forward. Listen to the wrong myths, and we might even go back a few steps.

Horror
Horror makes us come back different – oddly enough, feeling better. Feeling seen. Feeling validated. Feeling. That is why I love horror.
